Arrival Our New (Old) Press

Vandercook SP15Vandercook Serial NumberVandercook LogoWe travelled up to Huddersfield in Yorkshire to collect our new press, a Vandercook SP15 proofing press. We have looked far and wide for one of these presses and finally we found #25287.

The press is complete and in superb condition. It even came with new and unused rollers! The press has been well looked after by the previous owner who seemed sad to see it go. But the press has come into a loving new home where it will be well cared for and put to work straight away!

Kindly donated to Blush°° by Penny.

Our collection of letterpress printed items of interest grows. My sister kept her bonds vouchers in this simple pension book wallet. Fairly heavy impression on 250 to 300gsm manilla card. Thoughtful of them to advise pensioners to STOP… LOOK… LISTEN before crossing the road!

Measuring 190 x 105mm, 300/400gsm manilla card. Green ink, moveable type. Date, 1960’s/1970’s.
