We were thrilled to be working once again with Jock. This time he has teamed up with Vice Press to produce this awesome limited edition set of Judge Dredd letterpress prints.

The set consists of five 8″ x 8″ pieces with a sixth print randomly inserted in a limited amount of sets. Printed on 300gsm cotton paper and presented in a custom made folder.

The printing presses of choice for this job were our Heidelberg cylinders. These presses provide excellent ink coverage while keeping the ink consistent through the entire run. They ensure the very best letterpress prints possible and retain the finest details from Jock’s original drawings.

If you’re quick you might be able to still order one from Vice Press!

This wonderful illustration by Dutch artist Alice Kok was a delight to print. The flowing linework created a wonderful deep impression into the paper. Alice supplied her illustration via email and we suggested suitable papers. Saunders was perfect for these prints as it would allow a deep impression without the paper warping under the extreme pressures of the press.

Dimensions: 220 x 320mm, letterpress printed onto Saunders 425gsm 100% cotton paper, Black & red ink. Illustration © copyright Alice Kok.

The prints are available to buy direct from Alice at £25 each. Each print is numbered and signed of an limited edition of 50.

Summer Bunting Wedding Invitation

We recently printed this gorgeous wedding invitation. Letterpress printed onto 638gsm pure cotton board both sides, 3 colours front, 2 colours on the back. A6 postcard with a summer bunting theme designed by our customer.

Summer bunting letterpress wedding invitation

The front of the invitationDetail of the typeDetail of the back of the invitationDetail of the back of the invitationShelley took inspiration from vintage pattern and summer themes and got to work in her sketchbooks. Her drawings were scanned into the computer and “tidied up” in Photoshop. Then she added old typewriter and carnival style fonts into the mix and came up with a design full of nostalgia. You can read more on how Shelley created her design on her blog.

Shelley emailed her artwork to us and we got to work. We colour matched the inks to Pantone refs and a print out from her computer as it had the tone of colour she liked. Considering the weight of board used the job ran smoothly. First we printed the fuchsia and grey, front and back and finally the green on the front then trimmed to size. Packed and dispatched before the weekend for Shelley to start sending out.
